Make a difference at Osseo Area Learning CenterThere are numerous ways to get involved at Osseo Area Learning Center. When you volunteer your time and talents, you support student success. Volunteer opportunities range from one-time events to ongoing activities, including:
Chaperoning field trips
Helping run school events
Completing projects at home for teachers
and many more!
We welcome parent and community involvement in our school—no level of involvement is too little!

- How can I volunteer?
- I completed a volunteer application last year. Do I need to submit another one?
- What are the expectations for volunteers?
- I'm a high school student. What should I know about volunteering in the district?
- School Volunteer Contacts
Yes, a volunteer application needs to be completed every school year so we can update information and match current needs to each volunteer's interests. By completing the application, you are not committing to volunteering; rather, it starts a conversation with the district about potential volunteer opportunities.
Volunteers are expected to follow school and district rules/guidelines for the safety and protection of students, staff and fellow volunteers. Osseo Area Schools volunteers are required to comply with state and federal laws; school board policies and procedures; and data privacy laws. View the volunteer handbook.
(Note: To view the volunteer handbook in a different format, please contact Carrie Larson, Osseo Area Schools volunteer program coordinator, at LarsonCarrie@District279.org.)
Volunteer hours can be beneficial when you apply to colleges and for scholarships. High school students in Osseo Area Schools can have their volunteer hours recorded on their report card and transcript. Contact your school's volunteer coordinator to learn more and get started giving back!
